About EOP
Welcome to Educational Office Professionals (EOP)

Chatham County Association of Educational Office Professionals (CCAEOP) is a division of North Carolina Educational Office Professionals (NCAEOP). It is the only professional organization for educational office personnel exclusively.

CCAEOP strives for self-improvement and professionalism in an attempt to provide the best service possible to the students and educators of Chatham County Schools.

Membership

Membership is open to all educational office personnel who meet the following eligibility requirements:
  • Office support personnel in the field of education
  • Not on the administrative staff
  • Performs office support for administrative staff
  • Works a minimum of twenty hours per week
  • Pays membership dues
Goals

CCAEOP is dedicated to the achievement of professionalism of educational office personnel and to the improvement of the quality of service provided for students, educators and the community.

More specifically, CCAEOP's goals are:
  • to serve the needs of the members effectively by providing continuing educational and training opportunities
  • to promote friendship, understanding, and cooperation among all members
  • to encourage CCAEOP members to take active leadership roles in the association
  • to foster public understanding of the contributions that CCAEOP members make to education
  • to help educational office personnel fulfill their responsibilities and successfully perform their roles
  • to encourage high standards of professional conduct among educational office personnel
Inservice Professional Standards Program

CCAEOP offers inservice opportunities to its members. Inservice hours qualify for the NCAEOP Professional Standards Program (PSP).

The Professional Standards Program (PSP) is a volunteer program of self-improvement and progressive professional growth. The PSP program is a method by which members can receive self-growth as well as professional growth. The certificate identifies one as a competent, professional educational office professional who has set a high goal and achieved it. CCAEOP Scholarship

CCAEOP awards a yearly scholarship in the amount of $500 to a Chatham County high school senior who plans to further his/her studies in the area of business. The Chatham County winner is eligible for the District 8 scholarship.

CCAEOP encourages all of its members to join the North Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals (NCAEOP) as well as the local organization. District membership comes automatically upon payment of State dues.

Dues

The membership year is May 1-April 30 of each year. CCAEOP dues are $15 per year.  NCAEOP dues are $35 per year.  For membership forms, contact Beth Seawell, Membership Chair.
